Big Y World Class Market

Drove 1 hr to this store bc I called and they said they have a kosher butcher. The have a kosher counter but no fresh cuts of chicken. They had a few steaks only. I will insert photos all empire chicken and some other prepackaged brands. Looks like they had fresh rotisserie chicken cooking behind the counter but it was not ready yet. There is a small freezer section with fish sticks and large pre wrapped empire turkey. They also have a kosher aisle with ramen soups and many sauces. They have kosher prepared food and the bakery is pas Yisroel and parve, and dairy foods. Definitely sign up for the store card I saved $15 at checkout but you must go to customer service to sign up. The people who work there are really nice as well. Overall I wouldn’t make the drive out here again for kosher meat possibly for the bakery though, everything looked so delicious!

I tried my best to pummel through my sushi it was dated for today. The rice is so hard it has no flavor not even with three soy sauce packets. They got to do better at that station because for the price that they’re selling these items it should be able to be consumed with out so much adding horrible. I am really disappointed. Other than that I really like the store. The managers are really nice and the employees are always friendly.

My New Special Shopping experience. THEY HAVE ALL OF THE STATE OF THE ART DIGITAL SYSTEMS IN PLACE .THE STORE HAS A FLOW AS YOU STEP INTO THE STORE.CLEAN, ORGANIZED AND EXTREMELY Well managed. Every employee I encounter in different depts ASK me if I needed assistance! Even though they were busy doing some aspect of their job. The store is always well stocked.fresh fruit display and the sushi Bar is just another Fabulous feature. Hot , freshly made rotisserie chicken is my favorite and you Can't beat the price ! Overall food prices have gone up so I stick to my budget and the quality of the products is worth it. Check out is a breeze!! Saving time and money. Great job Big Y!!

One stop location for everything you need. Not really a frequenter but every time we visit the store, we think we should visit more often. Staffs are friendly! Super clean! Great Deli collection! Be sure to find something you’d like. Their daily specials are too good! Sushis are $6 on Wednesdays. Not terrific but good. Got to know about their Fish and Chips from a local FB group, and NEVER disappoints! Tastes like a good seaside restaurant. And the seafood section’s staffs are extremely friendly! There is a senior staff and and African American staff - both of them are really helpful and kind. And found out from the FB group they do party size pizzas too and many people love their 40 slice pizzas! Reasonably priced!

Shalom Big Y, On Wednesday afternoon January 3rd at the Big Y in the Bishops corner section of West Hartford CT. I was denied the purchase of a gift card because I didn't have a Big Y store card. (This happened to me a few years ago with a phone card - needed to put minutes on my phone at that time). I complain and state that the Big Y store card is a membership card and Big Y is forcing me to be something that I don't want to be and that's a member of the store. This is a run of the mill chain grocery store yet they selectively say what I can and cannot purchase base on having or not having this membership card...and what other items require this oppressive membership card. This is oppression, suppression, discrimination and selected discrimination, very harmful to me at least. I'm a healer who is also empath, Big Y is a broken place by this policy, and is in need of healing, how to be healed is to remove this policy, for no rule, law, regulation, policy is just, when it denies. And just because it is a rule,law, regulation, or policy doesn't mean it's right either. This policy affectly stole from me too, how by denying me this item.
